Meek Mill’s Judge Is A Failed Actress

Meek Mill’s judge has a LOT of ‘splainin’ to do. Your (dis)honor is being investigated by the FBI for possible extortion and collusion and sources close to the rapper feel that she sentenced him to 2-4 years out of personal animus.

Today, the plot thickens. According to TMZ, Judge Genece Brinkley is a failed actress who played the mother in a dollar store TV flick called “Tell My Mother I Love Her” back in 1993. The film starred an actor named Dustin Felder who is reportedly close to Philly music exec Charlie Mack, the man the judge wanted Meek to leave Roc Nation for.

Meek’s lawyers plan to make the case that the judge’s failed career is in part why she is taking out vengeance against a young brotha who is just trying to make his coins.

Ol jealous azz, dusty azz, bum azz, hatin’ azz, robe-probably-smell-like-B.O.-and-baby-powder faceazz…

What We Know About Cyntoia Brown

Over the past few days, celebrities have brought the story of Cyntoia Brown has come back to the forefront. The story of a young girl sentenced to “life” in prison has been around since 2004, but it’s back on many people’s minds and we sincerely hope a change comes out of it. So without further ado, let’s see what happened to Brown and how we can help.

Brown was a victim of sex trafficking. She was being sexually abused by a man she was living with who ordered her to get money from a man named Johnny Allen. She was afraid Allen would kill her so she shot him first. The prosecution argued that she shot him to steal from him.

Ray Allen Creeps With Catfish-y Dude And Stalks Him?

Married ex-NBA baller Ray Allen is involved in a super EXPLOSIVE internet scandal becuase of a catfish. Allen filed an emergency motion in court Tuesday, claiming he catfished a day after a man named Bryant Coleman accused Allen of stalking him after the two met online, according to the Associated Press.

According to the motion filed on Allen’s behalf,

“Coleman pretended to be a number of attractive women interested in Ray Allen. Ray believed he was speaking with these women and communicated with them.”

Allen also claims Coleman was the one cyber-stalking him.

“He posted about Ray’s wife, Ray’s children, Ray’s dog, Ray’s homes, Ray’s wife’s restaurant, and numerous other personal items,” the motion added. “Coleman not only posted about these things, he would actually post while physically located inside Ray’s wife’s restaurant in Orlando. And he would make sure they knew it, tagging Ray and his wife on those posts.”

AP reports, Allen said Coleman threatened to reveal details of their sexting conversations, and that the men eventually struck a deal to keep everything private! Allen said that deal has been violated and that Coleman has continued to harass him and his family through several social-media accounts.

This is…bizarre.

Allen’s attorney says the married baller regrets this entire ordeal, and entertaining the faux-thotties in the first place.

“Ray regrets ever engaging with this person online and is thankful they never met in person. This experience has negatively impacted Ray, and he hopes that others might use his mistake to learn the dangers of communicating online with strangers.”

Ray Allen has been married to Shannon Walker Williams since 2008.

Atlanta Looking To Change Streets Named After Confederacy

GTFOHWTBS!

Recently, monuments dedicated to the racist, red-necked and hateful Confederacy have been taken down more than Mia Khalifa on a Tuesday afternoon.

According to MyAJC, Atlanta may be joining a list of cities who are ready to dead the public acknowledgement and celebration of white men who were willing to die in order to keep Black folks oppressed.

Mayor Kasim Reed has been given a report breaking down street names like Confederate Avenue that are being petitioned for immediate change.

Here’s what Mayor Reed told WABE:

“Candidly, they want action taken immediately on streets that it really doesn’t take a scholar to understand that they’re offensive. So regarding streets like Confederate Avenue, East Confederate Avenue, any street named after Confederate leaders like Nathan Bedford Forrest or John B. Gordon or Robert E. Lee. They believe these should be changed immediately.”

The aforementioned Confederate Avenue could see a change soon as city is done eating Turkey this weekend.

Peep this. Under a 2016 house bill introduced by state Rep. Tommy Benton (a Republican, as if that needed to be said…), all street names that were named for Confederate douchebags in 1968 but subsequently changed, would have had to be changed back beginning January of this year. That means that portions of Martin Luther King BLVD would have reverted to Gordon Road, named for confederate general John B. Gordon.

The bill was withdrawn after Benton publicly supported the KKK. No shock there.

Keep your eye on Atlanta. Crusty mayo packets are sure to raise stink about this.

Chance The Rapper rounded up several of his celebrity friends to celebrate his first-ever “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig. Peep pics of the Chi-town native partying it up, plus Rihanna on the club scene inside…

This isn’t up for debate.

Chance The Rapper definitely brought the laughs for his first-ever “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig, flexing his comedic chops in several skits that had us on the floor laughing.

 photo spl1625258_006.jpg

The episode was definitely one to go down in the 43rd season books as damn near every skit was entertaining AF.

The episode was a good one for “SNL” ratings as it reportedly raked in a 4.3 household Live+Same Day rating in the metered markets and a 2.0 in adults 18-49 in the markets with local people meters. Chance’s episode came a week after Girls Trip comedienne Tiffany Haddish’s history making episode, which averaged a 4.3 household rating and a 1.9 in the demo.

So yeah, Black Excellence definitely proved a point on “SNL.”

After Chance’s hosting gig, he linked up with several of his celebrity friends, including Chris Rock, Regina King, Dr. Dre and Eminem (who was the musical guest during Chance’s episode) at Vandal in NYC to party it up.

Here’s everyone arriving below:

Roc-A-Fella Records Co-Founder Talks Building Fashion Empire

He found success in the music industry, fashion and the spirits world, but now one of the founders of Roc-A-Fella Records is setting his sights on the sneaker biz.

Kareem “Biggs” Burke, considered the brains behind Roc-A-Fella Records, is channeling his success at the helm of the iconic label into new sneaker and clothing collaborations: a limited edition “Roc-A-Fella” Air Force One as well as a capsule clothing line inspired by Jay-Z’s 1996 album “Reasonable Doubt” with Urban Outfitters.

“We wanted to do something quality and something relevant,” Burke said. “90s hip-hop is on fire. The consumer dictated that, not me.”

Burke said he got the idea for the sneaker after learning that a few of the custom-made Roc-A-Fella Air Force Ones that Nike gifted Roc-A-Fella friends and family back in 2002 had made their way onto the resale market – and were going for as much as $20,000.

“The sneaker is something that they can take away, and still be part of the lifestyle and movement that we created 20 years ago,” Burke said. “With Bella Hadid rocking (the Roc-A-Fella Air Force Ones) in Vogue, that opened up doors and created opportunities.”

Nike Roc-A-Fella Air Force Ones signed by Kareem “Biggs” Burke.

The shoes won’t be released to the public until Nov. 30, but Burke has created a social media campaign around gifting signed sneaks to Roc-A-Fella staff and celeb friends.

“Even when I gave Jay his sneakers, he said, ‘Mine’s not signed!’” Burke said, smiling. “I had to go to his house and sign them. Now, I have like 500 requests.”

The sneaker deal is the mogul’s latest project to reinvent Roc-A-Fella Records and “Reasonable Doubt” aesthetic, a process that Burke said works because it was down to remaining genuine.

“It’s the authenticity that we’ve built over 20 years,” Burke said.

Photo courtesy of Kareem “Biggs” Burke

Besides the sneakers, Burke just launched a “Reasonable Doubt” capsule with Urban Outfitters. The nine-piece collection is comprised of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and hats decorated with the “Reasonable Doubt” album cover art, song titles, quotes or the original Roc-A-Fella logo.

A t-shirt from Urban Outfitter’s “Reasonable Doubt” collection.

Burke said the new Urban Outfitters collab grew out of his first streetwear collection commemorating “Reasonable Doubt’s” 20th anniversary, which he debuted in 22 pop up shops around the country last year. The pop-ups each came with their own experience, like the recreated D&D Studio where Jay-Z recorded “Reasonable Doubt,” complete with the original soundboard.

“Everything I do, there has to be a story to it,” he said. “There has to be an experience.”

Burke is also preparing to relaunch his own denim brand Fourth Of November and has a bunch of other upcoming projects that he declined to discuss in detail. Maybe his own “Reasonable Doubt” sneaker?

“I’m getting courted by everybody now for that,” he said. “There’s a lot of things to come.”

Stop The Domestic Violence: Evelyn Braxton Details One Of Vince’s Domestic Fights With Tamar

Evelyn Braxton has been super vocal about Vince keeping his hands off of Tamar, alleging he’s been abusive throughout their marriage. The mother visited Sister Circle and gave details about one of Vince’s alleged scary abuse episodes. Evelyn says the fight between Vince and Tamar made her think “the elevator” was falling.

I ran back to the room, because the baby was in the bed with me. I was very much afraid for the baby. I put a chair behind the door. I barricaded myself in the room, and held that baby all night long. That’s no way, NO WAY for ANYONE to live.

Good grief.

Evelyn recently told the Rickey Smiley Morning Show  “I think Vincent is a bully, fighting, cursing, name-calling what bothers me is that the baby is right there in the midst of it.”

We wish Tamar the best and stand with mama Evelyn if these allegations are true. It’s time for this couple to really SPLIT.
